Question- What does the way you talk to peoplle affect how they act?

Hypothesis- I predict that the stricter you are the more people will listen.

Materials-
Whole class
P.E.
Yelling

Research- Yelling usually brings people down. Makes most people mad.

Background information- When we are in football practice and the coaches want use to do something ,sometimes they yell at use and some times the encourage us. I wanted to no which one works better. Yelling usually makes people scared. Encouraging usually makes people fill better, like they can do better then what they are.
Procedure-
  1. go to P.E.
  2. Tell Mrs. Rowland to help
  3. She yells
  4. Then she picks us up

Normal
  • Messing around
  • Talking while he is talking
  • He says things twice
  • Has to get strict
  • Kids leave class without permission
  • Dont pick stuff up
I think they were like this because he didnt enforce anything.
Aggressive
  • Listen better
  • Complain
  • Act better
  • No repeating
  • Argue more with teacher
I think they did this because they got mad at the teacher.

Results- My hypothesis was correct. The kids listened better. They had more physical punishment so they listened.
